Vector Reveals Why Fans Won’t Accept M.I Abaga’s New Name

Nigerian rapper and songwriter Olanrewaju Ogunmefun, better known by his stage name Vector, has revealed why fans won’t accept his pal M.I. Abaga’s new name.

Remember, M.I announced a change of stage name from MI to The Guy after the release of his new single.

Vector claimed in his post that M.I.’s new name, The Guy, will not work for him as fans will forever know and address him as MI.

Vector made this known during a live television interview when asked for his opinion.

He said:

“I wish him good luck in the transition from the old name to the new name, but I don’t think it will work. We will accept it, but they will still call him MI.”

When asked about the possibility of changing his name in the future, Vector said:

“If anything, I wanted to go back to Lanre, but too many people know me as Vector, so it’s hard.
