“Nonstop Deejaying Is Not a Joke,” Major League DJz on Breaking World Record

The Major League DJz are excited about how they broke the world record with their 75-hour balcony mix.

Speaking with Drum, the pair talked about their experience trying to set a new record.

According to the twins, their original plan was to have a long hour of music and fun with their official fans, but the plan took a different turn.

“I feel extremely tired, my legs are very sore, I had to go to massage to relieve the pain,” Bandile says.

“That was a great experience. Nonstop deejaying is not fun. You go through so many emotions when you’re at the DJ decks for so long.”

“The best part was soaking up the energy from friends and fans, even in the morning when your body wants to shut down,” he adds.

The DJz enjoyed the set, having friends and supporters like Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema on the decks, Kevin Momo, DJ Speedstar and rising stars like 2woBunnies.

“Between 12 a.m. and 2 a.m., people were just in the mood and partying. I loved how they reacted when the old – not old school – but old Amapiano songs were played.”

The official video for the Balcony Mix will be released at the end of September.
